Winter's Blood is now available on YouTube! We'll still be waiting to hear back from festivals through next summer, but since our first few screenings have passed, I've decided not to postpone the release any longer.
Nominations for Below the Trees are in from The International Horror Hotel. I'm up for a directing award, and both Katherine Genge and Suzanne Sadler are nominated for acting awards. I'm attending next week, so wish us luck!
One of the top reviewers on Letterboxd (a go-to app for cinephiles) recently wrote about Below the Trees. I was thrilled to see the positive things she had to say, so check it out! If you have a Letterboxd account, you're welcome to write a review too.
International Independent Film Awards has given Below the Trees platinum awards for Suzanne Sadler's performance, my directing, and Jonathan Snipes' original score. The festival has many tiers of awards, so I'm proud that we managed to score so high.
Thrilled to announce I'm working with one of my favorite composers of all time on Below the Trees. Jonathan has composed music for many notable films, including Room 237, Starry Eyes, and The Nightmare. Links to Jonathan's work are available at the Kickstarter update.
Haunt Me screened at the The International Horror Hotel film festival and convention. For her performance as Carmen, Meka Butler won Best Ohio Supporting Actress. I was nominated for Best Director of an Ohio Film, and Andrew Boylan was nominated for Best Cinematography in an Ohio Film.
I was interviewed by Columbus Alive! for an article about things I love. The list includes 1970's horror films, Disasterpeace's soundtrack for It Follows, Marcus Crosswoods Cinema, singer/songwriter PJ Harvey, and Graeter's Ice Cream.
I launched my first crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter! It's a short horror/comedy called Haunt Me. The screenplay was a finalist at Midwest Horror Shorts Film Festival and later made it into the top three of 13Horror.com's screenwriting contest.
